VersaUV LEF-12 Overview

One of the most advanced and affordable benchtop UV printers in its class, The LEF-12 prints directly onto a vast array of substrates and three-dimensional objects, including giftware, awards, packaging, promotional and industrial products. Roland DG’s state-of-the-art LED curing system and UV printing technology deliver outstanding image quality with smooth gradations, high-density color and unique dimensional and tactile effects. The LEF-12 is energy and cost-efficient, and is the only benchtop UV printer that is fully enclosed.

Eco-UV Inks and the LEF-12

The LEF-12 prints in vibrant CMYK plus White plus Clear. Instant-curing ECO-UV ink provides high density color and exceptional image quality, print after print. ECO-UV White ink can be used as a spot color, or as a flood to help full-color images pop on dark or transparent materials. ECO-UV Clear ink adds remarkably rich special effects ranging from matte and high-gloss finishes to custom 3D textures and embossed effects.

VersaUV LEF-12 Prints on a Variety of Materials

The LEF-12 has a maximum print area of 12 inches by 11 inches and accommodates objects up to nearly 4 inches in height. This allows users to print directly onto a wide range of giftware and promotional items ranging from pens, key chains and golf balls to photo albums, boxes, cell phone covers and even laptop computers.

The ingenious combination of advanced ECO-UV inks with the LEF-12’s safe, low heat UV LED lamp enables printing on virtually any substrate with optimum print quality. You can print directly onto acrylic, metal, wood, boards, canvas, plastic, and much more. You can even print directly on electronic devices or heat sensitive plastics without the risk of causing damage.

VersaUV LEF-12 is Innovative

With the LEF-12’s innovative laser alignment system and VersaWorks software, you can quickly and easily setup for different materials. For standard sized objects, a two-point method uses the lower right and upper left corner of the object as reference points to ensure proper image placement. For circular, curved or odd shaped items, a center-origin method allows the user to manually input the dimensions on the LEF-12 control panel, which can be read back automatically by VersaWorks to set the printable area.

The safe, low-heat LED lamp is completely ozone free, and the LEF-12 uses only a fraction of the power used by a conventional UV printer, saving thousands of dollars in electric bills each year. Our automated ink circulation system prevents the settling of white ink in the lines, significantly reducing ink waste and virtually eliminating all manual white ink maintenance procedures.
