Roland Academy Training
Described as one of the busiest and most successful ISA shows of recent years, this year’s ISA Sign Expo in Orlando became the show that the storm couldn’t spoil. Weather conditions in the North East of the US created a lot of problems for attendees trying to get to the show, but despite cancelled flights and travel problems, exhibitors, dealers and visitors turned up in their droves to celebrate all that’s new and inspirational in sign and graphics.
On November 1st 2017, Roland DGA hosted its first dye-sublimation workshop in partnership with the wide format printing industry’s trade association, SGIA. The Operation Sublimation, Mission: Wide Format Graphics event gathered together screen printers, digital graphics professionals, dye-sublimation beginners and experts at our Roland headquarters in Irvine, California to learn the in’s-and-out’s of dye-sublimation and color management for dye-sublimation applications.
In the second of our info blog hubs, we’ve made an extensive list of all the useful tips and tricks for Roland DG software, inkjet printers, flatbeds, dye-sublimation printers, CNC machines, dental milling machines and more. Also included in this rundown are some small business advice articles and other resources to help you grow your company.
I had breakfast with Jack, one of Roland’s service managers this morning. We do this occasionally when he is in town from his home base of Wisconsin, and since greasy spoons are in pretty short supply here in southern Orange County, we always seem to wind up at The Snooty Fox. If you’re ever visiting us for training or a demo, I recommend it.
Last week, I had the chance to spend some time with Roland end users at one of our "Digital Printing Boot Camp” classes, and as always, I enjoyed the experience, and came away impressed. One of the things I particularly noticed was just how varied our users are. Even with a class of about 10, we had Roland owners from every region of the US, as well as one from Canada.
