Roland at ISA 2018 – Color, Crowds and Customization

Described as one of the busiest and most successful ISA shows of recent years, this year’s ISA Sign Expo in Orlando became the show that the storm couldn’t spoil. Weather conditions in the North East of the US created a lot of problems for attendees trying to get to the show, but despite cancelled flights and travel problems, exhibitors, dealers and visitors turned up in their droves to celebrate all that’s new and inspirational in sign and graphics.

Operation Sublimation— SGIA and Roland’s First Successful Mission

On November 1st 2017, Roland DGA hosted its first dye-sublimation workshop in partnership with the wide format printing industry’s trade association, SGIA. The Operation Sublimation, Mission: Wide Format Graphics event gathered together screen printers, digital graphics professionals, dye-sublimation beginners and experts at our Roland headquarters in Irvine, California to learn the in’s-and-out’s of dye-sublimation and color management for dye-sublimation applications.

Back To School

Last week, I had the chance to spend some time with Roland end users at one of our "Digital Printing Boot Camp” classes, and as always, I enjoyed the experience, and came away impressed. One of the things I particularly noticed was just how varied our users are. Even with a class of about 10, we had Roland owners from every region of the US, as well as one from Canada.
