Medical Solutions

Imagine a tool that lets you make completely custom products for any patient, from a wide range of FDA-approved materials.  A single machine able to scale with your growth, from prototype to full production.  One that is flexible and easy enough to operate without expensive technicians or software.  And affordable enough to add additional machines as production increases at a fraction of the cost of large CNC mills.  This is the thinking behind Roland Rapid Custom Manufacturing (RCM) solutions, a modular approach to help companies grown profitably.

Customers dramatically benefit from improved fit, accuracy and materials. RCM technology is currently being used to design and produce custom dental bridges and crowns, medical implants made from FDA approved materials, and much more.

Produce Highly Precise, Fuctional Prototypes and Parts

MDX series milling machines produce highly detailed parts with smooth surface finishes and tight tolerances, perfect for complex snap-fits. They are ideal for producing medical implants, prototypes, and Rapid Custom Manufactured (RCM) parts from FDA-approved materials, wood, brass, aluminum and a wide range of plastics. With the MDX series, you can create prototypes for functional testing, electrical testing and to prove part manufacturability. A DC Brushless motor increases torque for fast, accurate prototypes. Roland RCM solutions come complete with CAM software, creating a seamless workflow with all major 3D CAD applications. The MDX-540 and MDX-40A both offer a maximum work volume of 12" x 12" x 4.12."

Automate the Process with Bundled CAM Software

Bundled SRP Player CAM software automates the prototyping process and generates tool paths with high speed and precision. The user-friendly, wizard-based program offers uniform 3D scaling, support for 4-axis milling, and simulation of finished 3D parts. It lets engineers quickly review the simulated prototype on the monitor and send it to the MDX for production. The end result is faster prototype production, tighter dimensional accuracies and a silky smooth surface finish.

SRP Player Pro excels in production environments where speed, tight tolerances, and smooth surface finishes are critical. The optional CAM software simplifies production and uses advanced polygonal smoothing technology to achieve smooth surfaces using STL files. It also takes IGES files and generates tool paths directly, without converting them into polygonal data. The result is superior parts with smooth surfaces and accurate, tight-fit precision.

Roland R-Wear Studio is the most comprehensive apparel and gift design software ever produced. The software lets you create all elements of a design, including images, text, shapes, and rhinestone patterns. Roland R-Wear Studio can output to the Roland EGX-350 desktop engraver, the GX-24 desktop cutter, the Roland VP-300 printer/cutter and any standard inkjet printer. This unprecedented versatility is the key to creating such a wide range of custom gift and apparel products.

CorelDraw® is not just for creating logos, Web graphics, multi-page marketing brochures, eye-catching signs, etc. It can create rhinestone designs, too!

Heat Press, Engraving Stock & Heat Transfer Tape
After cutting your design into standard engraving stock, simply set the rhinestones into the design’s holes, cover them with the hot fix transfer tape and heat press them onto the garment. The entire process takes just a matter of minutes!

Hot Fix Rhinestones come in a dazzling array of shapes, sizes and colors! Whether your customers are making a fashion statement or creating a special costume, you will be able to give them all the glitter and glitz they could ever want. They can even add sparkle to children’s sports apparel.
