Details
Symptom
The VG-540/640 has a cooling fan running even when my front power is off.
Cause
When the primary power switch is on in the back of the VG series printer the cooling fan is on.
Solution
This is normal with the main power switch on in the back of the VG printer. You should always leave this switch on so that the printer performs automatic cleanings during idle periods. If the primary power at your place of business is compromised by bad electrical storms or periodic blackouts then go ahead and unplug the printer during that time.
