The Dream of Starting a Business with a Roland DG

In 2006, Nacho Elorriaga, a small business entrepreneur in Armstrong - Santa Fe, Argentina, began his career in design and printing, producing manual printing jobs like stickers and signs. Three years later, to meet the growing demand for his work, he bought his first cutter.  

In 2011, Elorriaga set up shop in a bigger, more central location, giving his work more visibility and earning more clients. Today, Elorriaga owns Visión Gráfica, a growing business in a standalone building that measures 1,290 square feet.

In 2014, everything changed when Elorriaga purchased a used Roland DG VersaCAMM SP-300 wide-format printer/cutter that let him reduce his production times and respond to the increasing demand for his services.

“Roland DG is the benchmark brand in quality. The dream of all of us who are starting in the graphics business is to start with a Roland DG machine,” said Elorriaga.

He values the reliability and precision of his Roland DG equipment. “The two features that stand out above all others are, first, the reliability. I have been using Roland DG machines for the last 10 years and I have never had any issues. Second: the precision. In both printing and cutting, these are machines that don't make any errors, and they are making our dreams true; they produce our jobs faster, more precisely, and more efficiently,” he said.

The Key to Success

Today, Visión Gráfica’s production environment is anchored by several Roland DGs, including a TrueVIS™ SG-540 printer/cutter and a VersaEXPRESS RF-640 printer. 

Elorriaga values the excellent print quality that Visión Gráfica has achieved with the SG. “Spot colors like black or red print as if the actual vinyl were these colors,” he said.  Elorriaga relies exclusively on Roland DG Element inks to achieve consistent high-quality results.
