Roland DG Sponsors Fotolia's TEN Collection Season 3

Roland DG Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and 3D devices, announced that it is sponsoring Fotolia's third season of the TEN Collection, which began March 2014 and continues to December 2014, as an international partner.

The TEN Collection project was begun in 2011 by Fotolia, a leading provider of royalty-free photos, vectors, illustrations and HD video worldwide, with the goal of promoting digital art at an international level. By sharing the techniques and creative secrets of ten of the world's finest professional designers and photographers, Fotolia offers the ability for anyone wishing to learn about digital art to download these artists' PSD files for free from the TEN website www.tenbyfotolia.com. The first and second seasons were conducted successfully with over 300,000 downloads during the initial 24-hour period and over 1 million visitors. For this third season, Fotolia has launched an international contest for designers and photographers, including both professionals and amateurs, to challenge the TEN artists by presenting their own work utilizing the shared knowledge, skills and design concepts.

Driven by its corporate vision of "Transforming Your Imagination into Reality," Roland DG has been developing cutting-edge digital technology in wide-format inkjet printers, vinyl cutters and 3D digital devices, including milling machines and engravers, since 1981. According to, Marta Fraile, Communication Manager from Roland Digital Group Iberia, S.L., supporting the Fotolia TEN Collection project has a special significance. "We wish to support professional and amateur creators and designers by inspiring the enjoyment of creativity and imagination," said Marta. "The TEN Collection contest offers designers and photographers everywhere the opportunity to not only study the creative work of renowned artists, but also to submit their unique creative view of the world. Seeing these artists setting their imagination free is thrilling for us. Their photographic images and design ideas combined with our digital tools can generate infinite creative possibilities."

As part of its sponsorship, Roland DG provides its VersaSTUDIO BN-20 printer/cutter as a contest prize. With this unique desktop device, the award winner will be able to print and contour cut posters, decals of any shape and heat transfers for apparel. Roland DG plans to display prize-winning artwork at its Creative Centers located in Japan headquarters and sales offices around the world.
