Irvine, Calif., March 6, 2019 – Roland DGA Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters worldwide, today announced that its new TrueVIS VG2-640/540 wide-format eco-solvent inkjet printer/cutters with TR2 ink are approved for the 3M™ MCS™ Warranty program.

The 3M MCSTM Warranty provides full, non-prorated protection for the intended life of each graphic, including fading, cracking, peeling and other aspects of the graphic performance. The weathering technology and rigorous testing of ink and printer combinations that 3M stands behind with this warranty assure customers that the quality of their images will be maintained for the life of the graphic. VG2 printer/cutters passed 3M’s stringent testing process, which has earned a reputation for ensuring long-lasting durability and reliability. Graphics manufacturers who use the TrueVIS VG2-640/540 printer and TR2 inks can visit the 3M MCS Warranty website to register their printer and receive their personalized 3M MCS Warranty Certificate. This website also includes an easily accessible online warranty matrix that indicates the specific warranty provided around the world for both vertical and horizontal installations.

“The 3M MCS Warranty program  approval provides VG2 users printing TR2 ink on 3M media with added assurance that they can count on the quality and durability of every print they produce,” said Daniel Valade, Roland DGA Product Manager, Color Products and Cutters. “They get extra peace of mind, knowing that the output their VG2 printer/cutters create will not only be visually stunning, but also long-lasting.”

In developing the VG2 series Roland focused on dozens of fine details that ensure increased efficiency and ease of use as well as unsurpassed print/cut accuracy and imaging capabilities. The VG-640 and VG-540 are engineered to take full advantage of the superior color reproduction and wide color gamut provided by a new generation of TR2 ink, which includes new Orange ink.  They incorporate a host of technological advancements, including a new True Rich Color preset that allows vibrant colors to be combined with neutral greys, smooth gradations and natural skin tones for stunning graphic results.
