We just hosted another full Born To Wrap 2-day workshop at our California offices and I have no doubt that our free wrap demos at SGIA will also be well attended. I believe there are two primary reasons for this continued interest in designing and installing vehicle wraps and they are profound.
Sweet Home Chicago
New “Fakes” from Roland DG
In preparation for Label Expo, we wanted to show off some great samples of work that we can do on our machines – so first, we needed to design a bunch of Roland DG branded or fake product labels, find stuff to stick them on and go to town. Here’s a sample of some of our “fake” products!
Tech Support to the Rescue
It seems like issues come up at the worst possible time – like during the biggest job of the year or late at night. Who are you gonna call? My Dealer has gone home, Roland DGA's Technical Support Department isn't available and I’m pretty sure the Ghost Busters have retired. Roland DGA’s new support page to the rescue!
Social Media Part II — How to Handle the Added Workload
I just returned from a Social Media Strategies Summit sponsored by GSMI in San Francisco. Interestingly, among all the discussion of tools, strategies, case histories and metrics, no one brought up the subject of how to deal with the added workload.
Back To School
Last week, I had the chance to spend some time with Roland DG end users at one of our "Digital Printing Boot Camp” classes, and as always, I enjoyed the experience, and came away impressed. One of the things I particularly noticed was just how varied our users are. Even with a class of about 10, we had Roland DG owners from every region of the US, as well as one from Canada.
What’s your outlook?
Last week, The Big Picture Magazine released a sneak peek of their annual wide-format forecast, and I thought the article was on target, but also had some interesting observations, for example:
A Global Award for the VersaUV LEC
Hey! Our Roland DG VersaUV just earned the Label Industry Global Award for new Innovation at Label Expo this week! How ’bout that!?! The VersaUV has been around for a few years now and although it’s gained some momentum recently, it remains for the large part unknown among most of our target audience.
Monday Moanin'
What’s with all the economists making predictions lately? I suppose that’s what economists are paid to do, but on any given day we can read that the economy is heading into another recession, or that the economy is slowly improving, or some combination of the two. Come on, can’t we all just get along?
