VersaStudio BN-20 Features

Keep on Producing with
Low Running Costs and High Reliability

Built with Roland DG’s legendary reliability, the BN-20 features the following machine advantages that ensure you’re always printing and profiting:

  • A gold-plated head to reduce static and prevent ink-clogging.
  • A wiper system that decreases wear and tear on the print head— prolonging its life by reducing ink buildup.
  • An automated ink circulation system reduces ink waste to dramatically lower running costs while ensuring consistently professional image quality

Professional Ink Options
in a Desktop Device

Roland DG Eco-Sol MAX ink offers fast drying time, high density, a wide color gamut, rugged scratch resistance, low cost per square foot, and flexible media options. The BN-20 can be set up for printing on both standard and luxury media substrates.

Eco-Sol MAX ink is available for the BN-20 in the following configurations:

CMYK ink

CMYK

Four-color standard process color inkjet printing

CMYK and white ink

CMYK+W (White)

For use with clear or colored media on packaging comps, labels, window signs, and other popular applications, white ink can be printed as a spot color or an undercoat to increase the brightness and opacity of full-color images

CMYK and metallic silver ink

CMYK+Mt (Metallic Silver)

Metallic Silver ink can be printed as a spot color or combined with CMYK to produce over 500 striking metallic and pearlescent colors, including Roland DG’s Metallic Texture Library of different texture fills

CMYK ink

CMYK (aqueous ink)

High-density water-based ink creates brilliant colors and excellent print quality for short-term indoor applications

Professional Cutting Quality
in a Desktop Device

The ability to cut as well as print is what makes the BN-20 so different from many other desktop printer devices on the market. It features state-of-the-art cutting that provides consistent results and isn’t prone to the problems inherent in craft cutter devices with simple up/down electronic controls. The advanced cutting carriage on the BN-20 also prevents “bounce” against the media to ensure super-crisp cutting results.
