Symptom
Spot color with transparency warning appears when trying to save a file to eps in Adobe Illustrator.

Cause
The software is warning you that your spot color data will be ignored. Files with transparencies will cause your CutContour spot color stroke to be converted to outlines and filled with the represented process color when saved as an eps from Adobe Illustrator


Solution
Follow these steps when you see this warning:
  1. Click continue to open up the eps options window
  2. Click on the custom button under the transparency section.
  3. UNCHECK the Convert All Strokes to Outlines Box
  4. Click Ok to close the custom window
  5. Click ok to close the EPS options window and save the file
