Files with transparencies will cause your CutContour stroke to be changed to outlines when saved in PDF versions later that 1.3
Solution
Follow these 4 steps when saving your file:
- Save the file as an Acrobat 4 (PDF1.3)
- Click the Advanced tab
- Click on the Custom tab
- UNCHECK the Convert All Strokes to Outlines box
It’s a quick easy step that many times goes unnoticed because Acrobat has newer versions of PDF files.
