Title
WallFlair Removable Fabric Is Falling Off The Wall
Summary
Wall graphics is falling off after a few hours of application.
Details
Symptom
Wall graphics is falling off after a few hours of application.

Cause
Type of paint used on the wall and/or when the wall was painted.

Solution

WallFlair products (and most adhesive backed products) will not stick on premium paints that are stain resistant and have low or no VOC.  The stain resistant additives in the premiuim paints are designed for easy clean up of things like crayons, markers, inks, stickers, etc.  Therefore, these additives also affect adhesives negatively.

If standard paints without stain resistance are used, flat to satin paints work best.  The glossier the paints are, the more oils there are in the paints.  Therefore, the oils will interact and deaden the adhesive.  Lastly, paints need a minimum of 30 days to totally dry, cure, and out gas properly.  Do not install wall graphics during this time frame.  The out gas process can interact with the adhesion value.
