Motor Error 0040

Cause
​This is a scan motor over current error where a large load is put on the motor movement instantaneously, such as a head strike or media jam.
Roland devices have multiple fail-safe mechanisms to protect critical components. The machine will stop operations when any of these fail-safe's are triggered.

Solution

Turn the power off, clear any media jam that may have occurred and turn the printer back on. If the error continues, please contact your local Roland Service Center.
