Details

It is advised to disable any security software present on your CAM station as it can interfere with the calculation / operation of the application. If you are using Windows' built-in security and you don't have a 3rd party security software like Symantec, Mcafee, etc.

If you experience any unknown / uncommon errors during the setup or during normal operation using Millbox or SUM3D, it is best to temporarily disable security software so it does not interfere with the CAM.

If you are unable to turn off / disable your security software (for example: Windows Defender or any other 3rd party security, virus scanning or malware protection suite) please ensure that the following exclusions are added to your exception list. If you work in a corporate environment, you can forward this document to your internal IT staff. After these exclusions have been set, it is recommended to reboot your PC so the settings can take effect.

Here are a list of directories / processes that should be added to the list, depending on the software that you are running:

SUM3D

Processes: CAMWIN.EXE, CAMWINC.EXE

File Types: .CAM, .TMP

Directories: <Wherever SUM3D is installed> (This can vary based on your installer - the best way to find this is to right click your desktop shortcut and open the containing folder*)

MILLBOX

Processes: CAMWIN.EXE, CAMWINC.EXE, MILLBOX.EXE

File Types: .CAM, .TMP, .MBP

Directories: <Wherever MillBox is installed> (This can vary based on your installer - the best way to find this is to right click your desktop shortcut and open the containing folder*)
