Details
Symptom
Some customer called in asking how to reduce the yellowing effect on the finished print as well as a general guideline for curing time with a UV light.

Cause
Overcured 3D prints, and improper removal of resin.

Solution

A general guideline for cure time using a UV Light in an enclosed space is 5-10 minutes. Over exposure of the UV light can cause a yellowing effect to the resin and reduces the transparency. It is better to err on the side of caution when trying to maximize transparency. It is best not to touch the model for about a day to ensure that the resin solidifies.

Proper removal of resin using the provided alcohol containers will also maximize transparency of the print. Do not wipe the resin with a rag before it has cured or it will take on a frosted matte finish and clothe particles will bond to the resin.
