Unable to detect (setup) thick substrates on the LEJ-640. Example: 0.25 inches or greater in thickness.

Cause
This could be caused by a dirty reflective strip on the platen or a fine adjustment needed by a qualified Dealer Service Engineer.

Solution

1. Make sure the reflective strip (chrome tape approximately 1/4 inch wide by the width of platen) is clean and free of any ink build up or smudges.

2. This could also be related to a fine adjustment required on the paper side sensor circuit, please contact your supporting Dealership.
