Symptom
Tool is stuck in the spindle chuck assembly.
Cause
Air pressure too low and possible condensation in the pressure hose to the MDX-540 tool changer.
Solution
Check the air pressure at the compressor and also the air regulator. It should be set from a 0.5 to 0.65MPa. In addition check for any condensation or contamination in the air line. This includes checking the regulator and filter canister supplied with the compressor unit and the MDX-540 regulator. Warning: Before attempt to remove the canister you must stop the supply of compressed air and allow the pressure to bleed down to 0 MPa on the regulator gauge. Any condensation can increase the chance of a tool becoming stuck in the tool chuck, however extremely rare. A Scotch Bright Pad can help remove any buildup of oxides that contaminated the metal components. If the problem persists consider pneumatic air dryer as a solution.
