The VG,VG2& SGSeries control panel display alerts the operator if one of the 3 covers are open while power is on. Close Cover alert.

The VG, VG2 & SG Series control panel display alerts the operator if one of the 3 covers are open while power is on. Close Cover alert.
Cause
The right and left maintenance covers have a safety interlock switch. The front cover also has an interlock switch. Press enter to clear the alert.
Solution
The covers need to be in a closed to ensure that no dust enters the printer. These interlock switches are a key feature in the safety interlock system. The printer display will ask you to close the cover because the print heads could dry up. Then press enter to restore power to the printer and scan motor.
