My Roland printer is reading the full width of the platen bed even though I loaded a smaller roll

Cause
The setting in the user menu (sheet type) could be incorrect

Solution

Make sure that media type is not set to clear, it should be set to opaque. If it is set to clear the default width would be set to the maximum platen bed width.
