We’ve received a few reports of installation issues, which appear to be rare and mostly affect older versions of Windows. If you're experiencing problems, please make sure your system is up to date and try again. If the issue persists, feel free to contact our support team for help.
Please review the steps outlined below and take the appropriate action as needed.
If you encounter any problems with the driver installation, please try the following steps:
- Open the "Device Manager."
- Locate the DWX that could not be installed. It is likely under "Other devices."
- Right-click that DWX device, and click "Update Driver Software..."
- Choose "Browse my computer for drivers."
- Input "C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository."
- Check "Include subfolders."
- Click "Next."
- Wait for the installation to complete.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, please try updating the driver for the "USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller":
- Open the "Device Manager."
- Right-click the "USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller," and click "Update Driver Software..."
- Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install the updated driver.
- Restart your computer to complete the installation of the updates.
If the issue still persists, uninstalling the "USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller" might be helpful.
Uninstall the "USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller" and restart your PC to have the latest version reinstalled.
Older version: USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller 1.10
Tested version is 1.20.
The 1.20 version has fixed several issues and is more stable.
