Manager, Imagination Center & Professional Services Trainer

Reporting to the Manager of Product Management, the Manager, Imagination Center will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Southeastern Regional Field Office. The Manager, Imagination Center will be responsible for supporting both Roland Sales and Service by utilizing their expertise with Roland equipment. As part of the Product Management team, activities will include sample generation, material and workflow testing, product demonstrations, and assisting with pre-sales support.  This position will also be the lead member of Roland’s Professional Services offering. This will focus heavily on revenue-based end-user training, that will consist of working with customers to define basic scope of services, along with setting training expectations for the customers who pay for this training. The Manager, Imagination Center will also assist with training events for both Sales and Services and will assist with local events such as open houses and attend Trade Shows and Dealer events as necessary.

This is an office based position in the branch office located in Atlanta, GA. This position will also include regular travel which could exceed 50% on some occasions. 

Manage and operate a Roland Imagination Center approximately 5,000 square ft.
General management or oversight of office staff as needed
Professional Services Trainer - application and workflow training that fulfill requirements defined by customers.
Develop training assets along with scope of services that define the Professional Services offerings.
Evaluate and assist with establishing workflow best practices both pre- and post-sales
Maintain and service of equipment when necessary 
Host and lead with dealer training, both sales and service 
Host and lead with local events such as open houses and dealer specific events 
Attend trade shows and regional events as needed. 
Collaborate with other Roland departments (Marketing/Product Management) for specific activities.
Management Based Objectives (MBO’s) defined by Management.

Measurable increase in sales of specific products in territory – directly related to office interaction.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: B.A. or B.S. degree in business or a related area preferred
Advanced degrees, industrial or specialized marketing training is a plus

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Working knowledge of large format inkjet printers and related devices. CAD/CAM milling and engraving knowledge is a plus. 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience with Roland printers and related devices. Knowledge of the applications used in both eco-solvent printing along with on-demand personalization and customization using UV print technology. Understanding of the applications serving the core vertical market verticals.
Technical working experience of design software and applications

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Outstanding PC skills, including a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, Outlook, etc.) Windows operating system and driver installation troubleshooting. Self-motivated and has the ability to take independent initiatives that fit the existing needs of the business. 
Excellent logical and cognitive reasoning skills along with the ability to plan and organize tasks independently.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and complete them by defined deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication
Comfortable with speaking in front of large groups
Work well independently and is self-motivated
Familiarity with existing market vendors, manufactures, consultants, competitors is a plus
Familiarity with market terminology and customer application requirements, voice of the customer, and ability to mediate/arbitrate between conflicting parties
High energy & commitment. Applicant should have the ability and desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial and with a fast paced/growing company. A desire to grow one’s own skill, knowledge and position through dedication and experience.

Ability to prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
Ability to conduct training, communicate at panel discussions and to make professional presentations.
