A New Twist on Old World Style

Dorothy Simpson Krause has a D.Ed. from Pennsylvania State University where she was introduced to computers in the late 1960s. Trained as a painter and collage-maker, she has been a pioneer of art and technology since the early 1970s.

Her work incorporates images from a wealth of sources, which range from historical paintings, sculptures, books and maps to contemporary advertising and journalistic photographs which are then combined with her own photographs on a computer with image processing software. Her work is exhibited regularly in galleries and museums and featured in more than three dozen current periodicals and books.
